Cowboys Ofennsive Goals for upcoming season

The Dallas Cowboys this season are expecting most of their offensive starters back on offense in the upcoming season and all is looking well for the offensive firepower. With Dak expecting to make a full comeback this season and the offensive line being healthy again, Dallas is expecting to have a full comeback season on offense and take over the league in scoring. With Amari Coopers excellent route running capability, Michael Gallups sensational ability to catch the deep ball, and Ceedee Lambs hands, we can expect the most of this electric offense. But for this offense to be the best it can be this upcoming season; we can expect the cowboys to be on top of these stats listed below.

Amari Cooper, Ceede Lamb, and Michael Gallup each record over 1000 yards each. I know this state seems fairly extreme and almost impossible, but it can DEFINETLY be done. Before Dak Prescotts injury in week 5, Ceedee Lamb and Amari Cooper were well ready to exceed over 1000 yards and Michael Gallup was not too far behind the stat line to reach over 1000 before disaster struck. Overall, Amari Cooper did finish with over 1000 yards on the season and Lamb and Gallup were just short of a thousand having 935 yards for Lamb and 843 yards for Gallup. Also, the group tallied 15 totals touchdowns and 5 touchdowns each which were not exactly the best numbers given the circumstances. In order to capitalize on a strong and efficient offense, the trio needs to be able to each record 8 or plus touchdowns each and should easily have 1000 plus yards when the season ends.

The offensive line must stay healthy. This was a major factor that contributed to the downfall of the Dallas Cowboys last season and injuries constantly plagued the starting o-line. Losing Lael Collins to a hip surgery before the season started, Tyron Smith to a neck injury in week 2, and Zach Collins to a lingering calf injury in week 10 are all expected to make full recoveries for the upcoming season and that is extremely important. The Dallas Cowboys offensive line when completely healthy in 2019 gave Elliot 4.8 yards a carry and only allowed 23 sacks all season long (League’s 2nd best). Fast forward to the year 2020 with the Cowboys depleted offensive line, the squad averaged 4.2 yards per rush and an abysmal 44 sacks allowed all season long (League’s 7th worst). Expect the offensive line to make a full comeback this season.

Dalton Schultz and possibly Kyle Pitts. Dallas lost Blake Jarwin this season after he came down with a knee injury and the rest was all Dalton Schultz. In the absence of Jarwin, Schultz accumulated 63 receptions, 615 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns to cap off his 2020 season. Also, if Kyle Pitts manages to fall into the second round, the stellar tight end from Florida University could make his way to Dallas and be a part of a new lethal tight end duo.
